In Clarksville, nurseries are busiest on spring weekends, when new stock arrives and popular plants sell out; weekday mornings are calmer and staff have time to answer questions. Ask which plants are hardy for your USDA zone in Tennessee, whether trees and shrubs carry a replacement guarantee (one year is common), and whether the nursery delivers and plants large items. Fall is the best planting season for many trees and perennials, and end-of-season sales are common. Check the listing for hours, seasonal closures and Google rating before you go.

Clarksville is in Tennessee, in the Southeast, where summers are long, hot and humid, winters are mild, and afternoon thunderstorms and the hurricane season from June to November can change plans at short notice. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Clarksville follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

My go-to place for some healthy, rare, and exotic plants. Those plants are so well-loved! The times we were there to visit, we always end up getting at least 3 plants. It’s hard to resist, and the price is unbeatable for the quality and uniqueness of each plant. Rose and her husband always provided us with priceless knowledge and sound advice on their plants. I wish I found this treasure sooner.

Must stop. This is an amazing small business nurturing gorgeous plants. Not just any plants, exotic, beautiful, well cared for plants. How lucky to have the opportunity to visit. How lucky to call this my neck of the woods. If you know an indoor plant lover, highly recommend. Need a special gift, highly recommend. I got my first fancy pants, no plant, White Princess Philodendron. They accept credit cards, but there may be a fee. Keep that in mind.

To say I was excited about finding Variegated Ventures Clarksville would be a huge understatement! Up until this point, the majority of my rare plant purchases had been made via online and having them shipped to me. This can be quite risky (and heartbreaking) if the seller isn't experienced in properly packaging plants for transport. So I was delighted to finally have a localish (I drive 1 1/2 hours to shop there and it is well worth the commute) plant store where I could get a chance to see things in person. Rose stocks a huge selection of different tropical plants. So many that I had never even seen or heard of that instantly went straight to the top of my plant wishlist ( I'm talking about you aeae musa banana tree 😉) She offers things from clipping to propogate yourself to large full-grown plants, and everything in between. It helps to give several different budget options for each variety. This definitely has made it much more accessible to add to my collection. Now let's talk about the care and quality these plants receive! They are by far some of the healthiest plants I have ever seen. The best part? Rose is so willing to share her knowledge of what has worked best for her,
